Surrey Harmony’s concert at Banstead United Reformed Church on March 23rd was a great success. The show was sold out well in advance and, despite snow and freezing temperatures, the vast majority of the audience managed to battle their way to the church and proved to be an enthusiastic and appreciative audience. We really enjoyed performing to such a lovely audience and particularly relished the chance to air some of our new songs for the first time.
The organiser, Val Beard, said that the show was barely over before she was being asked the date of the next Surrey Harmony concert and she has since had many comments and phone calls from members of the audience telling her how much they enjoyed the night and that they were very much looking forward to our next performance.
The concert was in aid of ASCT (Asian Students Christian Trust), a charity caring for and educating vulnerable children in the Philippines and Val was delighted to be able to tell us that the concert had raised a wonderful £1025 which will be put to excellent use.
